The volleyball uniform consists of a top and bottom or sometime a one-piece. The top and bottom piece must be of like or coordinating colors. The uniform top must be skin tight, but cannot expose the midriff, and it must be long enough to be tucked into or hang below the waistband of the bottoms.
Team players' numbers must all be the same color and size. Manufacturer's logos and lettering on ladies' volleyball uniforms do not have to be identical. Since shoes, socks, and knee pads are not considered part of the uniform, they do not have to be identical. Exposed undergarments must meet certain standards.
4.3.3 Players jerseys must be numbered from 1 to 20. USAV 4.3.3: The players' jerseys must be numbered in a permanent manner from 1 to 99 using Arabic numerals. The color and brightness of the numbers must contrast with the color and brightness of the jerseys.
No waiver necessary. Ball must have NFHS authenticating mark. UNIFORM: Since volleyball does not have home and away uniforms, either or both teams may wear pink.
